Tipping Point

Fall hits and 50º temps make you think twice about riding. You've paid your dues all spring and summer. Being "chilly" is just not acceptable. And watching TV or surfing bike sites while munching on Pringles is much more appealing. Then it gets to the point where 30º temps are normal. No way. Too cold. Dust off the rollers, trainers and watch reruns. You quickly find out that your basement is not that cool of a hangout.

Bam! 10 inches of snow, sub 30º temps. You have cabin fever about now and you're desperate. The snow-covered roads and trails call you out. Getting dressed and the first 5 minutes is the worst part. After that it's like old times. Legs burning, cool (freezing) breeze in your face.

So that's where I'm at. Outside the last 3 days (even one night - it's just like The Shining).
